As a longtime Blake’s 7 fan, I have always viewed Servalan as a great character, marvellously played by Jacqueline Pearce, however I do feel that the character became overused. It was not at all believable that she kept popping up in unlikely places and in one or two episodes there were even a couple of scenes improvised by the actors themselves in order to manufacture a kind of relationship between Avon and Servalan – neither of these scenes were in the original script and in my own view the improvisations stretched credulity and could be said to be rather self-indulgent on the actors part. I am of the opinion that these particular scenes should have been left on the cutting room floor.

I have therefore made the necessary cuts to this episode to align it with the original script.
